'Fatal Float', written by a recently naturalized citizen in her second language, could be one of the most shocking and entertaining reads of the year.
SAINT LOUIS, MO / ACCESSWIRE / August 4, 2021 / C.Y. Stewart recently launched 'Fatal Float' (Cold Ridge Publishing, 2021) in Kindle and paperback. In this new novel, C.Y. tells a modern day American tale through her cross-cultural eyes. Different from her previous works, C.Y. calls the page-turning thriller a 'faction', as the story is indeed fact, transformed into entertaining and twisted fiction.
In the book, C.Y. Stewart, her husband and friends embark on a weekend outing. The plan is to enjoy a float trip on the Meramec River during the day and then unwind at a fancy, private winery that night. However, the day begins to unravel quickly, becoming more bizarre with each passing hour. As the lazy summer day drifts by, who is telling the truth? What devious plan is in play? Whose blood will spill?
'To a certain point, some of the crazy events in the book actually happened,' said C.Y. 'That summer had been the American life that I had not expected. My experience begged to be captured.'
C.Y. Stewart is a multi-cultural storyteller whose work has been published in multiple languages. Born and raised in China, C.Y. endured a very humble childhood, naturally immersed in Asian culture through her formative years. Through focused efforts, she studied Chinese Literature and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Arts from Peking University. In 2014, she immigrated to the United States in pursuit of her dreams. In 2019, C.Y. founded Cold Ridge Publishing ( www.coldridgepublishing.com ) in Missouri, USA. The company's mission is to demonstrate, through cross-cultural literature, that we all share a common human story.
'Fatal Float' is a captive read for anyone who enjoys a well-told story, rooted in real experiences and told in a compelling and personal style.
'Fatal Float' has 240 pages. The price is $6.99 for Kindle and $11.99 for paperback. The ISBN is 978-1-734-97853-7.
The book can be ordered now at Amazon.com.
